Upcoming Exhibition – Russia Revisited
In 2014, Harold Schouten and Meike van der Lippe participated in a workshop which took place in Pylos, Russia. The resulting paintings will be shown as part of a duo exhibition at ‘Tandartsen aan de Herengracht’ from 6 June – 6 July 2016.

Throughout the exhibition is a reaccuring theme of recreation & leisure in the Dutch Landscape from the 17th Century to contemporary times – the here and now.
For this show, Harold Schouten contributed with one painting in which he combines sailing throughout the ages. In the painting (pictured above) you will see brown sails which were often used in former times juxtaposed by the colourful kite which is used today.

From April 2 MOTI presents the exhibition Van Gogh Mini’s. The exhibition will feature 80 contemporary Dutch artists who have each created a personal ‘ kijkdoos ‘ (viewing box with a peep hole in it) on the famous iconic Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. The artists supplemented, criticized and reinterpreted his work in their own style.
